Things I Love.

What-To-Wear-Outfit-Ideas-Shopping-Fashion-01

I’ve come to the realization that my wish list never seems to get smaller. What about yours?

Sure, I cross things off my list, but then I blink and nine more covetable items have appeared on it. Not that I’m complaining for anything ;)

Here are nine items that I’m loving right now: Continue reading

Home Inspiration // French Style Living

angela-mcdonald-home-french-inspired-living-room

If this house French Style house isn’t the perfect Monday morning eye-candy, than I don’t know what else is! I want to jump right into the pictures and claim it for my own. If only it were that easy, right?! ;)

What I adore about this home is that it’s so beautifully put together, without compromising a welcoming and homey vibe. Continue reading

Life Lately.

Winter-Boots-Cougar-Shoveling-Show-Toronto-Canada{Always shoveling snow! So grateful for my Cougar Boots (similar here).}

Happy Friday Friends!!

This week I’ve been stuck in a weird mental phase, somewhere between thinking (or more accurately dreaming) spring is on the horizon, and fearing winter will never end.

I know the reason for this awkward confusion also; I’m half blaming it on the fashion world (I can blame, because it’s my world ;) ), and half on mother nature.

I am constantly attending spring/summer previews; drooling over all the pretty collections that we will soon see in stores.  Plus, although stores won’t bring out their spring/summer collections until a bit later, their “pre-spring” collections have already started to hit the racks.

I’m a designer too, so I completely understand the meaning behind it; but, as a normal gal just trying to live life, it’s awfully confusing! Do I buy the bathing suits, dresses and adorable flats that are popping up, or do I buy the scarves, winter coats and boots that I am currently in need of?! Because no matter how hard I close my eyes and wish, the snow keeps on coming (the picture above is proof)!

Do you have a solution for surviving this awkward stage? I’d love to hear them in the comment section below!

Now, onto a few things that were screaming spring in my life this week:Etsy-Spring-Backpack-Blush-Pink-Vegetan-Leather-Wool-Wood-1

I got to preview some of the spring collections you can expect to see popping up on Etsy in the next little while. Ladies, beware: there are SO MANY amazing spring pieces from so many different shops. I wanted to take everything home with me!

One specific piece that stole my heart is this pretty pink minimalist backpack! I am obsessed. Actually, I’m obsessed pretty much everything in Noemie’s shop – you should really head over to her Etsy shop to check it all out. I have my eye on the Swimmers Print Tent Dress also – it’s so fun!

Send-A-Gift-To-A-Friend-Anywhere-In-Canada-Easily-Giftagram

This week I was introduced to Giftagram. Have you heard of it? It’s actually quite exciting (and the name is pretty cute too). Giftagram is an app that allows you to send gifts to someone in just a few clicks: select the gift you want to send, select the person you want to send the gift to, hit send. That’s it – seriously!

p.s. Have the “Love Me” pillows captured your attention? There is a cheeky surprise when you flip the pillows over. Check them out here.

Bizou-Outfit-Inpsiration-By-Victoria-Simpson-01

This week I created a guest post for Bizou’s blog; where I shared how you can tailor your sunglasses to different social situations! I picked four pairs of sunglasses and created four looks around them: Resort Chic (pictured above), Cottage Getaway, Weekend Wanderings, and Ladies Who Brunch.

In The Outfit Inspiration Above:
– Plunge Front Scallop Black One-Piece Swimsuit by Topshop
– Everything else by Bizou

Cheers to the freakin’ weekend everyone!

Travel // Ayana Resort & Spa, Jimbaran, Bali

Travel_Ayana_Resort_And_Spa_Jimbaran_Bali_Christina_Tan_5

Yesterday my wanderlust for Bali was on it’s A game! I was seriously contemplating throwing my To Do List out the door, and just booking a ticket to paradise.

Bali has always been on my list of “must travel to” places; and after seeing these dreamy photos by Christina Tan, it has been bumped up higher on the list. Doesn’t The Ayana Resort & Spa in Jimbaran, Bali look like the perfect place escape to? Continue reading

Shop for Jayu’s Spring Lookbook & Jayu Blogged Campaign (+ Video!)

Victoria-Simpson-Toronto-Canadian-Blogger-Shop-For-Jayu-Collaboration

Shop for Jayu’s spring collection has arrived and I’m honoured to be part of their Jayu Blogged Campaign (with video!) and lookbook. Remember that behind the scenes, sneak peek photo I showed you (in this Life Lately post) of myself + a lot of pink balloons? The final photo has made it’s debut, and you can see it below!

Myself, along with Canadian Bloggers, Casie Stewart and Jodi Blackburn, became models for the day – accessorized in the latest Shop for Jayu spring jewellery and clutches. If you can believe it (I still can’t), my legs even got some attention.

Make sure you jump over to Shop For Jayu’s website to browse their new spring collection (you’ll love it). Also, make sure you can flip through the full lookbook here to see more photos not shown in this blog post, and get collection details.

Without further ado, here are some of the final photos, and a really fun video: Continue reading

Home Decor // Wall Art by Nice Day Paper on Etsy

Wall_Art_Inspirational_Life_Quotes_Pretty_Decor_Etsy_Shop-01You may remember a previous Etsy Find blog post I did, featuring Nice Day Paper’s wall art; and I couldn’t help but share more fun prints with you.

When it comes to decorating your walls, prints like these ones are an easy and fun way to stay current without taking on the (sometimes daunting) task of decorating a whole room. Plus, you get an instant update without spending lots of money.

Let’s take a look at some more of Donna‘s creative work, shall we?!
