When I set out to create this outfit, I gave my self the goal of styling something that looks chic but can be bought for under $200. I knew this would be quite the task, which is why I’m so thrilled that not only did I meet my goal, but I managed to create an outfit that was even less expensive…only $125.43 (without tax; but with tax for you Ontario gems out there, that’s $141.74 with our 13% HST…still under $150, never mind my original $200 goal).
This outfit all started when I came across this amazing statement necklace and rings! I just had to build an outfit around them…and so I decided to create an outfit that was effortlessly chic and certainly not overdone. Since I wanted the focus of the outfit to be on the jewelry, I made sure the rest of the outfit was simple and of a neutral colour palette. The jewelry is so dramatic, that I paired it with jeans and a casual tee. I opted for a larger bag to balance out the skinny jeans and skim line of the t-shirt. I also decided to include these adorable flat sandals instead of heels, but I do think an awesome pair of heels or sandals would look just as chic (but stick to a similar hue). Finally, I chose not to include earrings in this outfit because the necklace is so huge, however if you feel the need for earrings, I recommend keeping them small and simple; gold studs would be perfect!
