Last Tuesday evening I attended a fabulous event at The Perry; put on by the Mansouri sisters and hosted by Ainsley Kerr. The event was a Pre-Valentine’s Day Soirée where some of Toronto’s most eligible bachelors faced-off against some of Toronto’s husbands: who can make the best bouquet? When I was first invited to this event I thought “How Fun! What a unique idea! Count me in!” – and what a night it turned out to be!

Throughout the evening, around one hundred guests mingled about The Perry, while sipping cocktails and eating the most delicious hors d’oeuvres provided by John & Sons Oyster House. Just to note, I am STILL craving the delicious Korean chicken and melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts with sour cream chantilly – yummm.

While doing so, we admired and bid on (in a silent auction) all the flower arrangements the men had designed, with the help of Kay and Young’s Florist. I was so happy win the amazing floral arrangement by bachelor & Toronto make-up artist, Robert Weir, to give my mom for Valentine’s Day (which she LOVES and which looks and smells divine)! The winners of the bouquet face-off were Braden Rosner for the bachelors and Robert Faissal for the husbands (he had the most bids)! Thanks to all the bachelors, husbands, guests and sponsors of the evening, $3,000 was raised for Rethink Break Cancer ($1,500 from the bouquet auction, which was then matched by Mansouri Living)!! I can’t think of a better way to spread the Valentine’s Day love!

If you want to purchase any of the bouquets from the evening, you can do so at Kay and Young’s Florist on 136 Avenue Rd until the end of February – all proceeds go to Rethink Breast Cancer!!
