The Academy Awards {Oscars} – My Best Dressed Choices

Jennifer Lawerence in Dior Haute Couture - Oscars 2013 - Academy Awards - Best Dressed

With all the hype I thought I’d share my Best Dressed picks from The Academy Awards show; after all it’s after midnight so Monday is here. That and I’m just so excited! If you were following my twitter & instagram, you know what I’m talking about! ;)

All the glamour, all the beauty, all the talent! Here are my top six looks of from the Oscars red carpet!! I’m a sucker for a ball gown, so Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture is a natural favourite for me. Not only that, but I am in awe over the texture and the two tier train! A magnificent Dior dress!!

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji - Oscars 2013 - Academy Awards

Octavia Spencer looks drop dead gorgeous!! I think I have a huge girl crush right now! She looks like an angel in this Tadashu Shoji gown! Not only does the colour compliment her skin tone so nicely, but the silhouette is so flattering! Tadashu Shoji did a great job contrasting the smooth skirt and neckline with a textured bodice. Très romantique.

Kerry Washington in Miu Miu - Oscars 2013 - Academy Awards

Both Kerry Washinton and this Miu Miu gown are breathtaking! I love the feminine nature of this dress, and it’s slim silhouette! Plus, a jewel adorned bodice always has me at hello; add in an adorable bow at the waistline and you then have me at helllllooooooo.

Jennifer Aniston in Valentino - Oscars 2013 - Academy Awards

Jennifer Aniston is always stunning, and this Valentino gown is so perfect for her. As soon as I saw her on the red carpet, I knew she was wearing Valentino (gee, what gave it away I wonder? ;) haha. It was nice to see the signature Valentino red). I actually did jump out of my seat! I’m a sucker for simple elegance with a huge amount of glam – and that’s exactly how I would describe this Valentino dress.

Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta- Oscars 2013 - Academy Awards

The detail, oh the detail! Oscar de la Renta‘s designs never seize to amazing me, and Amy Adams wears this gown so well! Some would be outdone, but definitely not her!! There are so many design details to this dress (an excellent example of detail without being overdone), that the calm colour is a great compliment.

Channing Tatum in Gucci and Jenna Dewan Tatum in Rachel Roy - Oscars 2013 - Academy Awards{photos source}

Okay, confession: I am a huge Channing Tatum fan. So when I saw him grace the red carpet with his oh-so-stunning wife, Jenna Dewan Tatum (wearing a Rachel Roy lace maternity dress), my inner teenage self came out. How stunning does he look in this Gucci suit? hot. And that bow tie? yum. And a soon-to-be-father? sexy. [don't worry Jenna, he's all yours - I kinda love my own man a lot! ;) ]

It’s honestly so hard for me to pick my best dressed ladies [and gent], because everyone looked smashing, and all the dresses were so impressive. A round of applause from myself to all!!
